Scientific Communications Lead

This role is expected to facilitate and implement the Product Development strategies of Development through:

  • Liaison with Key Opinion Leaders and Scientific Experts
  • Facilitation of Investigator Sponsored Trials and studies
  • Facilitate thought leader input into and coordinate selected operational elements Aevi Genomic Medicine (AGM) sponsored trials, translational and MOA studies as appropriate
  • Contribute to scientific communications (abstracts, papers, white papers) and regulatory documents as needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • This role supports AGM translational and clinical development programs and product strategy, including, but not limited to the following:
    • Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor thought leader input into meetings, translational and clinical studies helping to ensuring timely review, initiation, completion of deliverables.
    • Organizes and facilitates as needed thought leader and scientific expert meetings required for input to AGM programs at all stages of development
    • Evaluates, reviews and recommends revisions to IIT protocols in support of clinical and scientific questions relative to the products
    • Manages timelines of publication plans in specific therapeutic areas
    • Identifies, develops, maintains and builds advocacy with potential investigators
    • Provides input into study design and site selection for AGM sponsored studies and trials.
    • Represents AGM at scientific meetings and medical information exhibits during such meetings
    • Collaborates with R&D and others to ensure a robust medical communications plans for the therapeutic area and respective products.
    • Responsible for contributing scientific input to clinical trials and lifecycle management including input on publications and presentations.
    • This role provides clinical support to the commercial team with activities including:
      • Providing internal clinical input and training to commercial functions within regulatory guidelines as needed
      • Providing support for designing and delivering clinical presentations at thought leader meeting and Scientific Advisory Boards


  • Advanced Clinical / Science degree required (e.g. Pharm.D, MD, PhD).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in neurology required.
  • At least 3 years of Pharmaceutical / biotech industry experience required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a track record of scientific publications including papers, abstracts, oral presentations, posters. Regulatory writing experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and process improvement abilities
  • Experience in clinical / scientific trial development and / or trial management required
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to work well with senior academics and thought leaders
  • Demonstrated high quality interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively nationally and internationally
